Kashan Abdullah

This exquisite rug has been designed by Abdullah with a medallion as the primary motif, consisting of the Herati or Mahi fish design, which is a floral head supported by a diamond framework and flanked by four outwardly curling leaves. These leaves are said to symbolise the Mahi fish, which come up just below the surface of the lake to swim in the moons reflection. The elaborate floral arrangement lies on a bed of rich cream colour.
