Plush brings to the world Kashmir’s most exceptional carpet designs that are highly acclaimed world over. With over 35 years in existence, Plush thrives on some of the most talented carpet designers and the largest weaver network from Kashmir valley, which collectively come together to create marvelous pieces of art in the form of carpets, rugs and designer floorings.

Throughout this journey, some key landmarks are highlighted below:

  • 1983 Inception in Srinagar as “Sunrise Exporters” with 3 designers
  • 1989 IExport line expansion to 6 countries including USA and UK
  • 1992 Registered as “Akbar Oriental Carpets” in New Delhi, 20 custom designs created
  • 2001 Team expansion to 10 designers, export line to 13 countries
  • 2007 Patent granted for Sunrise Qum, 10,000 sales mark achieved
  • 2013 Exports expanded to 32 countries, weaver network expansion to 150 within Kashmir
  • 2016 Setting up of the online business unit “Plush Kashmir”
